Ahmad Reza Asghari was a member of the Revolutionary Guard and assistant cultural attaché and third secretary of the Iranian embassy from July 11, 1991, to July 23, 1994, in Argentina. He is accused of being involved in the AMIA bombing. According to the prosecutor, Asghari was one of the highest-ranking officials in this attack and was also responsible for activating secret networks of Iranians in Argentina
